Somnium latin for the dream. Also a 17th century book about an astronomer that imagines what the earth would look like from the moon.

Inspired by Hopper’s Morning sun. My dog Lilly poses for the scene. The scene out the window is a direct reference to Hopper’s creative work. With harsh highlights the sun beams through the window and the window’s silhouette helps frame the subject’s portrait.
